Anxiety and depression can present in many different ways, and are often two sides of the same coin. Perhaps you are struggling with low self-esteem. Maybe you struggle to speak your mind or set boundaries in your life. Or maybe you find it difficult to achieve your goals. Anxiety and depression can feel debilitating, like there's no way out. These symptoms are deeply painful and make it hard to show up fully at work, in relationships, or even with ourselves.

You may feel that no one takes you seriously, and struggle with imposter syndrome or low self-confidence. Maybe your relationships with friends, family, or loved ones feel unfulfilling or like you can't be fully yourself. Perhaps the daily responsibilities of work, school, or home feel overwhelming and insurmountable. All of these experiences are normal, and understandably contribute to feelings of anxiety or depression.

The good news is that therapy is a proven treatment for these experiences. Treating the symptoms of anxiety and depression involves starting at the root of the problem. We will work together to understand the explicit or implicit early messages you received from significant others in your life; your deep-rooted beliefs about yourself; and how you might be getting in your own way. Together, we will help you to see yourself more clearly and to learn to take your own needs seriously.

I strive to create a space where you can say the unsayable, or put words to the feelings that may seem impossible to acknowledge. By making space for all the complexities of the human experience, you will begin to feel more in alignment with yourself and your values. Over time, you will begin to trust yourself, take up your own authority, and set appropriate boundaries with others in your life. In turn, your symptoms of anxiety and depression will be reduced, and you will begin to experience life more fully.
